Weatherization specialists may implement various measures, including insulation in the attic, under the home, and sidewalls. They perform air sealing, insulate ductwork, weather strip around windows and doors, install smoke alarms and CO detectors, and address other energy-saving measures like venting appliances and installing energy-efficient light bulbs.

  • What's not covered by the Weatherization Program?

The program does not cover roof repairs or replacements, window replacements, structural repairs (such as weak floors or ceiling damage), or the construction of ramps, decks, porches, or steps. Additionally, it does not underpin manufactured homes.
